The BEST sunscreens for your face! (tried and tested by me)

One of my 2023 summer favorites for many reasons! I went through several bottles last year and I can’t get enough. It’s water resistant and if you suffer from hormonal acne (like me) it’s non-comedogenic which is perfect! To top that it’s also light weight, leaves no streaks/ white cast and absorbs instantly leaving behind a luminous glow to the skin. What sold this product to me was how it looked under makeup! It’s the perfect base for those who love the ‘clean girl’ or natural glowy makeup look as it doesn’t pill or look greasy! It’s also factor 50 and provides wide spectrum UVA/UVB protection. 10/10 from me!

An affordable, everyday SPF which I love reaching for. This SPF is suitable for those who may have sensitive skin as its dermatologically tested and fragrance free. It also provides up to 72 hours of hydration as its enriched with vitamin E and aloe vera making it great for those who have dry skin. I love using this SPF on days where my skin needs that extra boost of moisture and for days where I might be in the pool as its water resistant for up to 4 hours! What’s not to love?

A must have for summer! If you’re looking for a multi use product then this one is for you. This Supergoop Glowscreen is a lightweight formula that provides SPF 30 whilst doubling up as a luminous makeup primer! This SPF absorbs instantly and blurs the skin leaving an almost airbrushed skin finish. I love wearing this alone for that exact reason but it looks incredible under makeup! It’s enriched with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and vitamin B3 and is also non-comedogenic! Again there is no white cast left over with this product so it’s a winner for me!

A new addition to my skincare must haves! This Lancaster sun illuminating cream does exactly what it says on the box! It instantly melts into the skin and is totally invisible once absorbed! The light weight formula is jam packed with skincare properties that prevent wrinkles, fine lines and dark spots. Its super comfortable to wear and leaves the skin illuminated all day long. This particular SPF is vegan, clean & ocean friendly! The packaging is also very chic and easy to pack! I’m obsessed!

Another favourite! The last of my brown girl friendly sunscreens that I love for many reasons! The first being that its suitable for all skin types and has an invisible formula meaning no white cast! It provides factor 50 protection and is clinically proven to fade dark spots, prevent fine lines and boost radiance. I personally saw my skin clearing up after using this for a few months so it has my stamp of approval for clearing dark spots. It’s non sticky and I like to use this as a moisturiser under makeup! Love!

I couldn’t pass the opportunity to add in an extra little mention for a sunscreen I’m currently testing out. It’s the new Clinique Superdefense City Block. It’s a super lightweight formula that just melts into the skin and leaves a gorgeous sheer tint to the skin. What I love the most about this product is that wears well under makeup and leaves your skin looking super fresh and energised! A newbie that you must try!
